She moves to Boston, departure her maintain behind. Two years after not eyesight her husband, she has an affair with reverend Dimmesdale. This leads to her becoming pregnant and being penalise by the town. She is forced to wear an A on her breast for the rest of her life. He does so under the name of Roger Chillingworth to subdue being recognized.
